Director

Bruce Donelly

Bruce began his working life at the Bairnesdale & District Farmers Co-op in 1953. During this time he also studied Dairy Science & Management at Gilbert Chandler College (Now University of Melbourne). After 11 years Bruce moved to Burnbank Cheese in Mt Gambia as Factory Manager.

Bruce moved to Kieran Dairy in Alphington in 1965, specialising in yoghurts, before venturing into the Juice industry by starting Sunup Fruit Juices (later becoming Mildura Fruit Juices) in 1970. Beginning with a small factory in Yan Yean, (near Whittlesea) the company grew to have offices and factories in all states. He stayed with the company until 1982 when he became General Manager of Mr Juicy Fruit Juices.

1985 saw Bruce enter the machinery business with his involvement with Fogg Filler Co, which he would later own. He also spent time as a consultant to Polar Dairies (later National Foods) in Geelong and Ducat’s Dairy in Shepparton.

The late 1980’s and early 1990’s saw Bruce venture further into the food industry with his involvement in various cheese, yoghurt and beverage companies.
In recent years Bruce has also served on the board and as Chairman of the Hurstbridge & Districts Community Bank.

Managing Director

Hugh Donelly

Hugh is responsible for the overall running of the Company, as well as business development, R&D and marketing. Hugh completed his electrical apprenticeship with Gadsen’s (PurePak), before working and training on Uniloy and Liberty blow moulding machines in the USA. Hugh has installed and commissioned over 30 turnkey blow moulding lines throughout Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia. His extensive experience covers all aspects of the plastics manufacturing and associated machinery industry, ranging from building, commissioning and operating blow moulders, through to marketing, financing and distribution. A Managing Director since the Company’s commencement in 1989, he has initiated and steered major capital expansion and capacity upgrade planning.

Financial Controller

Vicki Donelly

Vicki has been employed at FPC since October 1998. Vicki has over 25 years’ experience in administration and financial accounting/management and has completed with distinction, a degree of Bachelor of Business – Accountancy at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. She holds an associate membership with CPA Australia.

General Manager - Operations

Murray Chrystal

Murray joined Food Plastics in 2008 to lead the manufacturing operation and steer the companies systems, with particular emphasis on HACCP, safety and quality systems. He has an extensive manufacturing background across a wide range of industries including packaging for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics and roles as varied as production engineering and operations management.

A tool maker by trade, Murray also holds a diploma in Production Engineering and an Advanced Diploma in Management.

Murray was appointed to the position of General Manager – Operations in February 2010 to manage the overall operation of the manufacturing business and now deals with the marketing and sales functions as well as the factory operations.

Murray can be contacted for any issues relating to the sales, development, manufacture and application of the products or for the systems in place.

Production Manager

Adam Bartolo

Adam’s role as Production Manager is to coordinate the factory production and deliveries and to ensure the customers get the right product when they want it.

Adam has extensive experience in the factory having been promoted from operator through Supervisor to his current role. His knowledge and understanding of the customers products and requirements is exceptional. Adam’s primary focus is on Delivery In Full On Time ensure Food Plastics maintains the highest possible level of customer service and quality.

Sales Manager

Bharat Kao

Bharat has joined Food plastics in 2010 as Sales Manager.

Bharat has an MBA and is an experienced Sales Manager with national and international experience and responsibilities in custom manufactured critical polymer, foam, plastic , rubber , packaging products for diverse industries such as medical, Auto OEM and white goods.

He has a practical, solution based sales approach and has been heavily involved in development and introduction of new products and associated value adding initiatives. Bharat has a strong history of managing and mentoring sales teams.

As Sales Manager, Bharat is focused on developing strong relationships with our customers and ensuring Food Plastics Company growth.
